His Message For You Today

This is His message for you today — Be the bigger person.

I have a lot of late night shifts this week, and knowing myself how “OC” I am in everything I do every single day, I am happy that I somehow managed to write something in my blog (hopefully it will be part of my daily routine and not just today). I am supposed to sleep and organize my stuff in preparation for my work later but I am in the mood to share and to express my ideas and thoughts about it.

I am a Roman Catholic and my family is so God-fearing and religious that even my mother goes to church every day and follows her spiritual lifestyle accordingly. Most of the time, she reminds me to appreciate life, to be thankful for everything I have now, and to forgive in order for me to have a pure heart, mind, and soul. But let’s be real, it is so hard to maintain being a good person when we are surrounded of toxic and evil people all the time. We are tempted to fight back, to hold a grudge on the people who hurt us, or to plot a revenge on that person who caused harmful things to us. Basically, we have the right to feel that way, our emotions are valid and that is a normal reaction because we are just human beings.

But this is our chance to be the bigger person, to be the better version of ourselves. I know it sucks to let others get away from all their wrongdoings to us, but trust me, it is for your own good.

There are a lot of advantages when we forgive but the best among the rest is to be free from sin. That is the best thing that we will gain. We have the true joy in our hearts. We always carry a smile on our faces and we get to live life to the fullest. We get to spread kindness to others, and it’s like giving colors into their dark lives by influencing them to do good, be good, and stay good.

I cannot reiterate further on how to be the bigger person when someone causes you pain or harm in any form, but I can only say that whatever happens in your life, just surrender it all to Him and He will give justice upon you. He loves you so much. He sees you, He hears you, He feels you, and He is always there for you. It’s hard to believe, yes, because you cannot literally see what He is doing in your life. But I say to you, you will, if you see it by faith, and not by sight.

I hope this gives you hope.

Imme.
